Julian Blaxland is a leading figure in Australian thoroughbred racing and breeding, having worked in the industry for 25 years. Julian is a major buyer at local and International auction sales as a Bloodstock Agent and is a member of the Federation of Bloodstock Agents Australia (FBAA). The retained Bloodstock Agent for leading trainers Anthony & Sam Freedman, Julian in addition regularly selects and buys for trainers Chris Munce, Kacy Fogden and major Australian breeders the likes of Rosemont Stud, Newhaven Park Stud, Yarraman Park & Aquis Farm. Julian has selected and purchased over 60 stakes performers led by Champion Sunlight and Group 1 winners Artorius and Prompt Response.

In 2018 Julian, along with well-known trainer wife Kacy Fogden launched spelling and rehabilitation property Newington Farm. Based at Canungra in Queensland, the property offers world class spelling, agistment, rehab and freshen up facilities on 120 acres, just 45 minutes from the Gold Coast and auction house Magic Millions and 1 hour from Brisbane’s major racetracks Doomben and Eagle Farm.

In 2018, the Blue Sky Premium Consignment was launched. A high quality, independent consignment of elite Race Fillies & Mares selling at the Magic Millions National Broodmare Sale annually. This consignment has been the Leading Australian consigner of Race Fillies & Mares in 2020 & 2021, topping the sale aggregate each year ($5.1m in 2020) & ($8.3m in 2021), whilst also selling the highest priced Racing prospect (2020 - Unforgotten $2.75m) & (2021 - Melody Belle $2.6m).
